El mejor amigo de un sombrero Panamá es el Vapor. Debes planchar constantemente tu sombrero para que no pierda su forma. De esta manera lo tendrás humectado y muy cuidado.
2. Wipes:
Si se te mancha el sombrero la mejor manera de limpiarlo es utilizando un “baby wipe”. Todo lo que le pongas a tu sombrero debe ser delicado porque de otra manera podrías dañarlo. Si la mancha es muy fuerte te recomendamos pasarle más vapor y limpiar nuevamente con un wipe.
3. Agarrarlo correctamente:
Lo mas importante en los cuidados de un sombrero es la forma de agarrarlo. NO DEBES TOMARLO POR SU COPA. Todos los sombreros, y en particular los de palma toquilla deben agarrarse por su ala. Si lo cogemos por la copa con el tiempo tiende a partirse en ese mismo lugar debido a la presión que le hacemos.
4. Empaque:
Cuando viajamos nuestro sombrero debe tener un lugar en la maleta. La mejor forma de llevarlo con nosotros es poniéndolo en un lugar especial con ropa adentro y ropa a su alrededor para mantener su forma.
